Iron Trak Auto Body Parts
A custom inventory, counter-sales and invoicing system that replaced a 1990s DOS database for a North Highlands collision-parts supplier, plus a local-SEO public website fed straight from the live catalog.
The challenge
Iron Trak has supplied aftermarket collision parts to Sacramento-area body shops since 1996, and the whole business still ran on an Alpha Four DOS database: no barcode scanning, no real stock history, and decades of sales locked in a format nobody could search. They also had no website, so shops looking for a part online never found the counter.
What we did
We built a custom web-based admin panel for the counter and the back office: a parts catalog with OEM, Partslink and interchange cross-references and vehicle fitment, barcode scanning and label printing, invoices and quotes, returns with RMA numbers, receivables with aging and statements, California sales-tax handling, purchase orders and receiving, physical counts, a bin and shelf map, lost-sales and reorder analytics, delivery run sheets, expenses, store credit, a daily cash-drawer close, five user roles, and an activity log. More than 380,000 historical ticket lines from 1996 onward were imported into a searchable archive. Alongside it we launched a local-SEO public site whose parts and makes are pulled from the catalog automatically, with AutoPartsStore and FAQPage structured data, a sitemap, and llms.txt.
The result
Iron Trak now runs its counter, stock and billing in one modern system with a full audit trail and three decades of sales history at its fingertips, and body shops searching online can finally find the counter and call for a part.
