A Shopify B2B wholesale store for a Sacramento importer of Afghan and South Asian groceries: 218 products, case pricing for approved buyers, a sales-rep commission system, and AI-search-ready SEO.
The challenge
Pure Trust Imports distributes spices, rice, tea, snacks and pantry staples from nine countries to stores and restaurants across Sacramento and the Bay Area. Ordering ran on phone calls and paper price lists, and they needed a store that could take wholesale orders by the case, keep pricing private to approved businesses, and track which sales rep brought in each account.
What we did
We built a custom Shopify theme with a grocery-style catalog: 218 products with researched descriptions, SEO titles and alt text, 16+ collections, brand pages, a mega menu, mobile bottom navigation, and a Quick Order page for repeat buyers. Shopify's native B2B market carries a dedicated wholesale price list with a volume break at six cases, and a wholesale application collects each buyer's seller permit for approval. A sales-rep system with a commission report, a small custom app for order tracking in customer accounts, about 38 branded notification emails, and recipe articles round it out. LocalBusiness structured data, AI-crawler-friendly robots rules and an llms page make the catalog readable to search and AI assistants.
The result
The store now runs wholesale-only: approved businesses log in to see case pricing and order online, and the team can see which rep owns each account, without paying for third-party apps.
